John L. Girardot, age 82 of Lupton, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Standish. John was born December 13, 1929 in Detroit, the son of Lawrence and Mabel Girardot. He has lived in Lupton for the past 30 years, formerly of Royal Oak. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, golfing, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife, Bev of Lupton, daughter, Karen Girardot of Grand Blanc, son, John (Sue) Girardot of Lake City, son, Larry (Nancy) Girardot of Lake City, son, Jim (Mary) Girardot of White Cloud, and sister, Bernice Sucher of Ohio. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son, David Girardot, and brothers, Alwin, Bob, and Ken Girardot.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, July 16, 2012 from 4-9 pm with a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. The Mass of Resurrection will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
