Clementine Jeanette Jacobs

Clementine Jeanette Jacobs, age 99, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Ortonville with her family by her side. She was born on January 7, 1920 in Cheboygan to Kasper and Anna (Zbieracz) Maczka. Clementine lived in Alger since 1979, formerly of Detroit, where she was the owner of South Hampton Beauty Salon. She was a member of the Forest Lake Community and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alger. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bowling and playing cards.

Clementine is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Shellabarger of Frederick, MD, Susan (James) Werner of New London, MN, Judy (Michael) Bartnik of Bloomfield, MI and Pamela (John) Riley of Ortonville, MI; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Jacobs.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alger on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Alger Cemetery. Father David Parsch will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to either St. Jude Children’s Hospital or yogamovesms.org
