Darrel Eugene Nibert

Darrel Eugene Nibert, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. He was born on April 17, 1935 in Hogsett, WV to William and Edith (Crawford) Nibert. He lived in St. Helen for the past 26 years, formerly of Taylor, MI. Darrel married Vivian Smith in Apple Grove, WV on May 14, 1955. He graduated in 1953 from Point Pleasant High School in West Virginia. After graduation, he became a welder working in Ohio and Michigan where he worked for large companies and smaller businesses. Darrel enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf, softball, playing baseball in high school and his retirement in St. Helen.

Darrel is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Nibert of St. Helen; children, Lugene Flores of Taylor, Brenda (Gregory) Tomblin of Southgate, William Nibert of Belleville and Trisha (Jim) Kingsnorth of Ypsilanti; grandchildren, Robert (Kelly) Christian, James Christian, Michael (Melissa) Nibert and Nicole Nibert; 13 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Judy Nibert of WV. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, William “Earl” Nibert.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
