Dawn Marie Schultz

Dawn Marie Schultz, age 62, has gone home to be with God on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her home in West Branch with her family by her side. She was born on October 6, 1956 in Bay City, MI to Edward and Barbara (Klink) Beaver. Dawn married Mike Schultz in Bay City on August 18, 1979. From a young age, she realized her love of art and bringing beauty to the world through art. She was a member of the Bethany Assembly Church in Adrian, MI, where they lived for 7 years prior to making West Branch their home for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Faith Alive Church in West Branch, Creative Arts in West Branch, Claws and Paws Rescue and participated in many community events. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them to love art. She worked as a phone support for the suicide help line for a number of years and continued the passion she had for helping others throughout life.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Mike Schultz of West Branch; daughters, Shannon Champagne of West Branch and Kelsey Schultz of Denver, CO; son, Michael Schultz Jr. of Ann Arbor; grandchildren, Olivia and Hudson; brother, Scott (Cindy) Beaver of Gladwin; sister, Shawna (Jason) Beaver-Schafer of Sterling; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jim Westheim from Faith Alive Church will officiate.
