Donald Owen Gilmore Jr, age 73, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 14, 1943 in Midland, MI to Donald and Wilma Gilmore Sr. Donald was known by the nickname “Happy Gilmore” to many people. He was a member of the UAW and St. John Lutheran Church of West Branch, MI.
Donald is survived by his wife, Ruth Sharrow-Gilmore of Lupton, MI; children, Jim (Kelly) Gilmore of TX, Rob Gilmore of Gladwin, MI, and Jennifer Jemenez; step children, Bill (LeAnn) Sharrow of Lupton, MI, John (Diana) Sharrow of Flushing, MI, and Evelyn (Cliff) Gross of Standish, MI; and 2 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
