Ellen Fern Haicl

Ellen Fern Haicl, age 72 of St. Helen, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at MidMichigan Medical Center in West Branch. Ellen was born on January 24, 1946 to Edwin and Fern McDonald in Flint, MI. Ellen married Jerry J. Haicl in August 1986 in Grand Blanc. She has lived in St. Helen since 1998, formerly of Burt, MI. Ellen loved playing the organ and keyboard.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Jerry Haicl of St. Helen, daughter, Amy (Eugene) Gilbert of San Clemente, CA, son, Joseph Landgraf of Marcellus, MI, grandchildren; Joseph, Jack, Penelope, Marissa, and great-grandchildren; Magnolia and Juniper. Also surviving is sister, Theresa (Clayton) Stone of Flint, MI, brothers; John (Gail) McDonald of AZ, Michael McDonald of Davison, MI, Dave McDonald of St. Helen, MI and Richard (Valerie) McDonald of Lake Fenton, MI. She is preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Selesky.
