Eugene Harold Strine

Eugene H. Strine, age 85 passed way peacefully in Bay City, MI on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Gene was born on September 14, 1932 to Lawrence and Wilma (Fowler) Strine in Elkhart, Indiana. He has lived on St. Helen since 1989, previously of the Livonia area. Gene enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, playing cards, and his many trips to the casino.

Gene is survived by his wife of 5 years, Julia Mead, of St. Helen. He is also survived by his son, David Strine of Quincy; daughter, Tammy Hussion of TN; sister, Carol (Art) Buchholz of TN; brother, Kenneth (Myra) Strine of TN; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Beverly Henbrickson, brother, John Strine, first wife, Marilyn K. Strine, and second wife, Cathryn Strine.

Funeral Services for Gene will begin on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00am at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10-11am prior to the funeral. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
