Evelyn Mae Pauley

Evelyn Pauley, age 89, of West Branch, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at The Brook in West Branch. She had lived in West Branch since 1979, formerly of Flint. Evelyn was born on June 26, 1929 in Dearborn, MI to Lloyd and Mildred (Harris) Lighthall. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church of Skidway Lake. She was a volunteer with the Tolfree Auxiliary at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Evelyn was also very active with the Lake Ogemaw Association. She enjoyed line dancing, crafting, cooking and baking.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Michael (Jill) Pauley of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Michael (Suzanne) Pauley, Jason (Melissa) Benway, and Kari (Michael) McKissack; great-granddaughter, Grace Benway, Brad Benway and Alexis McKissack; sister, Marilyn (Rollo) Wilkinson of Northville, MI; and sister in law, Leah Pauley of West Branch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Pauley; daughters, Barbara Pauley and Deborah Benway; brother in law, Richard Pauley and her parents, Lloyd and Mildred.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. On Monday, August 6, 2018, she will lie in state at St. Stephens Catholic Church of Skidway Lake beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Larry Boks will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Branch.
