Harold F. Phillips

Harold F. Phillips, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the Horizon Senior Living in West Branch, MI. He had lived in West Branch since 1958, formerly of Bay City. Harold was born on May 6, 1928 in Bay City to Lee and Helen (Wolf) Phillips. He started his own business on S. 6th Street in April of 1959 called the West Branch Automotive and retired in 1995. Harold started wintering in Florida in 1970. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the First United Methodist Church both in West Branch. Harold enjoyed Sunday morning golfing, baseball and loved deer hunting.

Harold is survived by his sons, Brian (Sharon) Phillips of Davison and Greg (Janis) Phillips of West Branch; grandchildren, Mary Jo (Steve) Stewart of Barstow, CA, Kate Morris of Santa Monica, CA, Josh Phillips of Jessup, MD, Stephanie Phillips of Petoskey, MI, and Brianna Phillips of Davison, MI; great grandchildren, Stephen, Noah and Francis; brother, Herb Phillips of Bay City; sister, Joyce (Jim) Dinsmore of Bay City; and sisters in law, Jenny Phillips of Bay City and Francis Harris of Grand Blanc. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joanne in 2008 and brother, Norbert Phillips.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pastor Tim Dibble will officiate.
