John Forest Bennett

John Forest Bennett, age 85, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Auburn, MI with his family by his side. He was born on May 13, 1933 in Detroit, MI to LeRoy and Marie (Marshall) Bennett. John has lived in West Branch his entire life. He retired from the Kraft Cheese Company in Pinconning after 25 years. John attended the Edwards Community Church in West Branch, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
John is survived by his sister Geraldine Illig of West Branch, brother Kenneth Bennett of Freeland, sister Judy (Rick) Stillwagon of West Branch, and sister- in-law Shirley Bennett of West Branch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents, brother Leo Bennett, brother-in-law James Illig, sister-in-law Judy Bennett, niece Linda Illig, nephews Tommy Noel, Glen Bennett, Pauly Ferrante, and LeRoy Bennett and great nephew Christian Noel.
Funeral Services for John will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 4:00p.m. at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch with visitation from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Pastor Jon Scott from the Edwards Community Church will officiate.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Edwards Community Church or McLaren Hospice.
