Joyce Mary Gould

Joyce M. Gould (Oyster) 71, of Lupton passed away Tuesday June 5, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. Joyce was born on November 24, 1946 in West Branch to Lloyd and Marjorie (Sharrow) Oyster. She enjoyed gardening, going to her treasure stores as she called it, spending time with her grandchildren and being a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She was always doing stuff for family members or the community. As anyone would say about Joyce she was the “Rock” for everyone and anyone.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 37 years, Wayne Gould of Lupton; children son Douglas (Michelle) Blood of Lupton, son John (Donna) Inman of Port Huron, daughter Shannon (Trever) Mehl of Freeland, daughter Mary (Enrique) Gonzalez of Texas, daughter Jody (Dave) Bowen of Sterling;13 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren; in-laws Mike (Carol) Gould of New York, Pat (Andy) Miller of New York; siblings Susan (Bob) Maddox of Texas, Larry (Rhonda) Oyster of Oklahoma, Joseph Oyster of Lupton, Jean (Kim) Card of Rose City, Russell (Gloria) Oyster of Rose City, Linda (John) Pruett of Texas; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Marjorie and Lloyd Oyster; sister Nancy Weaver; sister in-law Bunny Oyster; brother in-law Dave Gould; in-laws Ken and Erma Gould.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mel Killinger will officiate. Burial will follow at Lane Heights Cemetery.
