Larry Ashmore

Larry Ashmore, age 69, passed away at his home in St. Helen on September 8, 2019. Larry was born on December 20, 1949 in Creola, Ohio to Mable Irene Mears. Larry has lived in St. Helen since 2005 previously of Roscommon. He enjoyed going to the St. Helen Civic Center, playing BINGO, and his many trips to the casinos. One of his biggest passions was donating to charities, both local and abroad.

Larry is survived by his children, Darcy (Aaron) Preston of Waterford, Larry II (Elizabeth) Ashmore of Perry, his grandchildren Brittany (Darrin), William, Alexandria, Sarena, and his brother Martin Mears Jr. of Texas. He is also survived by his first wife Henrietta Blake of Perry, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his wives Julie in 2012, and Patricia in 2005, his mother Mable, sister Esther, and brother Charles.

Visitation for Larry will begin Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen from 4-8PM. His funeral will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00AM with visiting from 10-11 prior to the funeral. Pastor Roger Green will officiate with burial at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
