Magnus F. Nelson

Magnus F. Nelson, age 93, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at The Villa in West Branch, MI. He was born on January 12, 1925 in Dakota City, IA to Magnus and Elfia (Johnson) Nelson. Magnus has lived in West Branch for most of his life. He was a member of the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church and Pioneer Power. He enjoyed his 1941 Oliver 70 that he drove at parades and events. He also enjoyed woodworking and working in his garage.

Magnus is survived by his loving wife, Elva Nelson; daughter, Ella (Ed) Hart; grandson, Matthew Hart; sister in law, Peggy Nelson; and countless nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nels, Hilding and Lindbugh; sisters, Hulda Griffith, Clara Fedewa and Gloria Foster.

The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Harvey Fry will officiate. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery.
