Marian Ione O'Connor

Marian Ione O’Connor, age 70, of Mio, MI, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. Marian was the daughter of the late Alex and Freida (Thornton) Walkowski. She was born on June 15, 1949 in Owosso, MI. She was employed as a Regional and District Manager in the retail business. Marian married Edward O’Connor on September 27, 1969 and he survives her. She loved spending time with her family and was well known for her famous meatloaf and german chocolate cake.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kristine (Robb) Sabo of Saginaw and Laurann O’Connor of Traverse City; grandchildren, Patience O’Connor and Kaden and Cameron Sabo; great granddaughter, Kelley Lindholm; sister, Linda (Wayne) Willson; brother, Mark (Allison) Walkowski; and many nieces, nephews and special friends, Maureen Sullivan, Tom Krupnek and Tom and Sue Connor.

Honoring Marian’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
