Ruth P. Salisbury

Ruth Pauline Salisbury, age 86, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. She was born on November 30, 1930 in Rossville, IL to Samuel and Ivalou (Phillips) Lackey. Ruth was active in the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for over 10 years at West Branch Regional Medical Center, for over 15 years with Hospice of Helping Hands, and many years of service with First United Methodist Church. Ruth was a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. She was a spirited, strong woman and a wonderful mom and granny.

Ruth is survived by her children, Samuel (Marlene) Dollahan of Chicago, IL, Gail (Carl) Johnsen of Apple Valley, MN, and Julie (Marc) Collins of Glendale Hts, IL; and grandchildren, Abigail Johnsen and Ryan Johnsen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norris Salisbury, son, Daniel Dollahan, parents, and 14 siblings.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12:30p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Maple Valley Cemetery in St. Helen, MI.
