Viola J. Warren

Viola J. Warren, age 92, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Villa at West Branch, MI. She was born to Earl E. and Edwina M. (Zettle) Myas in Royal Oak, MI on May 3, 1926. She had lived in West Branch for over 30 years, formerly of Auburn, MI. Viola worked in the factory in Detroit making airplane parts during WWII. She also was a part of the Ground Observation Corps, which watched for planes in the air in the 1950’s after the war. She shared over 30 wonderful years of retirement between Lake Ogemaw and Florida. Viola enjoyed quilting, gardening, and camping.

Viola is survived by her children, Ruth (David) Golden of West Branch, MI, Betty (Dennis Yefko) Warren of New Port Richey, FL, Sandra (Marty) Hankus of Caseville, MI, Robert Jr. (Pam) Warren of Mayville, MI, Randy (Mary Jo) Warren of Bay City, MI, Douglas (Judy) Warren of Saginaw, MI, and Bradly Warren of West Branch, MI; 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; brothers, Erwin (Jean) Myas of West Branch, Donald (Shirley) Myas of Kalkaska, Raymond (Renate) Myas of Gladwin; sister-in-law, Ilene (Richard) Broquet of Redford, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl E. and Edwina M. Myas, husband, Robert R. Warren, sisters, Catherine Richardson, and Mary Thresa Barringer.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Sister Barb Matievich, O.P. will officiate.
