Albert H. Cornelius

January 20, 1927 — January 23, 2014

Mr. Albert “Bert” H. Cornelius went home to his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2014, just 3 days after his 87th birthday. He was born and raised in the Bay City, Michigan area. Bert proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. Bert is survived by his children, Connie (Tom Schielke) Loughner of Hamilton, Indiana, Albert “Steve” (Bonita) Cornelius of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Crystal Cornelius of Huntsville, Alabama, Ann Cornelius of Los Angeles, California; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert E. and Catherine (Northrup) Cornelius; and his wife Alice. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe St., Rockford, MI 49341. The funeral will take place in West Branch on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 235 Minzer Ct., West Branch, MI 48661 with Rev. Tom Teal officiating.
