Albert James Hubert

Albert James Hubert, age 82, passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1923 to Antone and Rosa (Kupczyk) Hubert in Midland. He married the former Julia LaClair on February 14, 1996. She survives him. Also surviving are his children, Suzanne (Thomas) Reynolds of Bay City, Cynthia Parker of Hanceville, AL, Barbara Lancaster of Huntsville, AL and Craig (Mia) Hubert of Grand Blanc; stepchildren, Nancy (Richard) Moore, Alan (Marylou) Schmidt and David (Sheryl) Schmidt; grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) VanOchten, Tina Reynolds, G.W. (Cindy) Parker, Michael Hubert and Jeanne Hubert; 3 great-grandchildren, Zeke, Kari and Chasten and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother Rudolph (Dolores) Hubert of Kawkawlin and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years Carol (Schumann)Hubert, 6 brothers and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in- law. Mr. Hubert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 557. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, January 15, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. and Monday from 2-8 P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate with burial at Edwards Township Cemetery, West Branch to be held at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
