Alice Evelyn Ferguson

Alice Evelyn Ferguson, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at The Villa at West Branch. She was born on September 23, 1924 in West Branch, MI to Frederick and Emma (Conner) Rosebrugh.

Alice is survived by her husband, Max Ferguson of West Branch; daughters, Joni (Chuck) Snyder of West Branch and Jill (Al) Derocher of West Branch; grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Bragg, Jason (Stephenie) Bragg, Allison Bragg (Brian Bowen), Kelley (Curt) Evans, Tonya Snyder, Tammy (Mike) Broderick, and Kevin (Melissa) Snyder; great grandchildren, Aelyn, Jesse (Mallissa), Joe, Jenni, Justin, Courtney, Connor, Kelsey, Alex, Lucas, and Evan; great great grandson, Perryn; sisters in law, Miriam “Red” Rosebrugh and Marie Rosebrugh. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Joyce Ferguson, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Alice was an angel on earth, loved by many of all ages. She is fondly remembered for her genuine love of God and people, extreme patience, generosity and her magic in the kitchen, especially her peanut butter fudge. She was employed by Tolfree Memorial Hospital for 25 years in the Medical Records Department, a job she so enjoyed, she also volunteered for several years after retirement.

The family of Alice would like to thank The Villa West Branch for the wonderful heartfelt care given to our mom/grandma. Also thanks to Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care given to mom.

A memorial service will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Brenda Klacking will officiate.
