Amy Lynn Bentley, age 21 of Rose City, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Lake, Michigan. Amy had lived in Ogemaw County all of her life. She was a former Ogemaw Heights cheerleader, former Miss Teen Lupton in 2000 and competed in the Jr. Miss Michigan Pageant in 2000. She enjoyed going to the beach and being with her friends. She worked at the Rose City Café, Sunrise Café, the AuSable River Restaurant and Mac’s Place. Amy is survived by her mother, Jennifer Bentley of Rose City, her father, Wayne (DeAnda) Bentley of Davison, sister, Cara Scott of Rose City, brother, Thomas Gillette (Tiffany Winters) of Lupton, stepbrother, John Saba of Cape Cod, MA, stepsisters, Joy Saba of Davison, Trish and Dawn Bullock and Randi Hurley of Summittville, IN, her companion, Erick Plank of Lupton, grandparents, Richard and Carol Gillette of Holly and Jim and Jean Bentley of Holly, her nephew, Riley Konovich of Flint, her aunts and uncles, Rick and Connie Gillette, Brian and Debbie Highway, and Laurie and Gene Kahn, several great aunts, great uncles, cousins and many friends including her special friend, Angie Karbowski. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 3-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the funeral home. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate with burial following at Rose City Cemetery in Rose City. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
