Ann Schrumpf, age 82 of West Branch passed away at The Brook retirement community on December 6, 2012. Ann had lived in West Branch since 2008 and formerly was a long time resident of Muskegon. She was an associate member of St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch and a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Roosevelt Park, MI. Ann enjoyed being outdoors, church activities and spending time with her grandchildren and her close friends. She especially enjoyed mowing the lawn and snowblowing in the winter! Ann was born and raised in Antigo, Wisconsin. She received her nursing degree from Columbia School of Nursing (Milwaukee) and worked for many years at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. Ann is survived by her husband of 59 years Mac Schrumpf of West Branch, her children Susan Schrumpf of Traverse City, Steven (Jami) Schrumpf of West Branch and David Schrumpf of Ann Arbor and her grandchildren Jenna and Sean. Also surviving are her sister-in-laws Carmel Schrumpf of Sault Ste. Marie and Arleen Bubon of Antigo, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Laura Bornemann and her brothers George and Donald Bornemann. The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Helping Hands, Dobson Health Care and the staff of the Brook.
