Anna M. Sherman

Anna Margaret Sherman, age 95, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at The Medilodge of Sterling in Sterling, MI. She was born on April 27, 1926 in Detroit to Warner and Ruth Grytzelius.

Anna lived in Prescott, MI since the 1970’s formerly of Detroit. She worked for Ross Valve Manufacturing in the Detroit area for many years.

She attended Faith Lutheran Church in Prescott and worked for Summer Dorf Resort on Lake Ogemaw for many seasons. Anna enjoyed living on the river, square dancing with the Wild Wood Whirlers, being outdoors, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family, and her family loved being with her.

Anna is survived by her son, James Sherman of Prescott; grandchildren, Christine (Bill) Smith of Macomb, Karen Sherman of Port Huron, Tammy (Eugene) Ranger of Prescott, James (Emma) Sherman Jr. of Alma, Justin (Autumn) Sherman of Skidway, and Jamie (Trevor) Rogers of Greenville; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Robert Sherman and Robert Austin, son, Robert Sherman Jr., great grandson, Kyle Halcomb, sister, Doris Woodstock, and brother, Floyd Grytzelius.

A small family visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
