Beatrice F. Maitland

Beatrice F. Maitland, age 97 of St. Helen, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at King Nursing Centre, Houghton Lake. Mrs. Maitland had been a resident of St. Helen since 1984, formerly of Detroit. She was a member of the Lake St. Helen Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess, the church treasurer, and the financial secretary. She was also a member of the Strathmoor Judson Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit. Mrs. Maitland enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, John Maitland of St. Helen, her sons; David (Dawn) Maitland of North Branch and Paul (Kate) Maitland of Brighton, granddaughters; Jennifer (David) Daum of Bellefontaine, OH, Alicia Herrera and Angelique Herrera both of North Branch and her sister in law, Mable Hurd of St. Helen. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 2-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Sutton will officiate. Burial will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lake St. Helen Baptist Church.
