Bernadette "Bunny" M. Oyster

Bernadette M. “Bunny” Oyster, age 54, of Lupton, MI passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. Bunny was born on June 28, 1960 in Dearborn, MI to Stanley and Marie (Horger) Gondek. She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, and being a mother to Rosemary.

Bunny is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joe Oyster of Lupton, MI; daughter, Rosemary Oyster of Lupton, MI; mother, Marie Gondek of Alger, MI; brother: Ken (Sue) Gondek of Milan, MI; in laws: Joyce (Wayne) Gould of Lupton, MI, Susan (Bob) Maddox of TX, and Linda (John) Pruett of TX; Larry (Rhonda) Oyster of OK, Jean (Kim) Card of Rose City, MI and Russell (Gloria) Oyster of Rose City, MI; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father: Stanley Gondek of Alger, MI; brother: Ron “Ronny” Gondek of Dearborn, MI; father in law and mother in law: Lloyd and Marge Oyster of Lupton, MI; and sister in law: Nancy Weaver of Bay City, MI.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City, MI will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 1:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 3:00 p.m. On Friday, October 17, 2014, Bunny will lie in state at Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will be at Lane Heights Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Rose Township Hall, both located in Lupton, MI.
