Bernard Lee Meir

Bernard Lee Meir, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. He had lived in Rose City, MI since 2012, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Bernard was born to Clarence and Correan (Clemens) Meir in West Branch, MI on August 19, 1954. He was a member of the K of C Council #8948 and enjoyed hunting, teaching archery, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Bernard is survived by his mother, Correan Meir of Rose City; sons, Jeremy (Huang Ling) Meir of Central Lake, MI, Heath (Christie) Meir of Boyne City, MI, Michael (Rachel) Harvey of Fort Gratiot, MI, Vaughn (Christina) Chesters of South Lyon, MI, and Art (Jessica Leboeuf) Chesters of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; grandchildren, Isaac, Elizabeth, Kaden, Koleton, Kale, Karson, Kenora, Alex, Rebecca, Daniel, Allison, Tamara, Ilianna, Katherine, Leah, Vaughn III, and Emma; siblings, David (Denise) Meir of Flint, MI, Clayton (Deb) Meir of West Branch, Geraldine (David) Wakefield of Rose City, Leonard Meir of West Branch, Flora Nichols of Bancroft, MI, and Thomas (Sharon) Meir of West Branch. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leah Meir and father, Clarence.

Visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Mass at 12:00 p.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Cemetery.
