Berneil Bradford Weesner

August 3, 1914 — April 5, 2005

Berneil Bradford Weesner, much loved husband, father and grandfather died on April 5,2005. Mr. Weesner had recently moved to West Branch, formerly of Vandalia, MI and Indiana. He was born on August 3, 1914 to Bert and Ina (Bradford) Weesner in Marion, Indiana. He graduated from Mishawaska High School in 1932. He married his sweetheart, Helen (Hemminger) Weesner in November of 1936. During and immediately following high school he worked as a huckster for Lowman and Petersen's Grocery Store in Mishawaka and played saxophone in a "big band" on the weekends. He took a job at the Ball Band Plant in the early 1940's and retired from Uniroyal Corp. after 35 years of service. He immediately became the Plant Manager for the Selmer Case Plant in Elkhart. He served as the Zoning Administrator for Porter Township in Cass County, Michigan for several years. He and Helen spent the last 66 years enjoying their beloved home on Birch Lake. Mr. Weesner is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen, children--Lance (Barbara) Weesner of Elmhurst, IL, Lynn (Ann) Weesner of San Antonio, TX and Leslie (Doug) Patullo of West Branch, MI, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandson. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
