Betty Jane Hulbert, age 86, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Flint McLaren Hospital. Betty has lived in West Branch since 1983, formerly of Mt. Clemens, MI. She was born to Arnold and Viola Taylor on March 2, 1928 in Detroit, MI. Betty was a member of the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church and the Calvary Baptist Church both of West Branch. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, gardening, car rides, Detroit Tigers and spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Earl Hulbert of West Branch, her children, Beth (Ed) Peszko of West Branch, Dawn (Terry) Green of West Branch, James Michael (Maria) Feirer of Ira, MI, Brian (Denise) Feirer of Traverse City, MI, Kevin (Connie) Feirer of Frasier, MI, Anthony (Julie) Halfer, Leonard Hulbert of Coldwater, MI, her grandchildren, Kirt, Joseph, Timothy, Amy, Lisa, Jason, Shannon, Eric, Katrina, Kristi, Corey, Chelsea, Katie, Courtney, Jessica and their spouses, her 25 great grandchildren, her 2 great great grandchildren, her sisters, Barbara Stafford and Leona Dalacke, her brother Jerry (Pam) Taylor, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughters Deborah Ann Walstead and Morita Lynn Hulbert, her granddaughter, Kristi K. Walstead, and her sisters, Audrey Taylor, June Newby, JoAnn Forbes and Bonnie Forbes. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 3-9 p.m. On Friday, the family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch. Pastor David Kurtz will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
