Betty Lou Wangler

Betty Lou Wangler, 85 years young, of West Branch, MI passed away on April 29, 2016. Betty was born on June 28, 1930 in St. Charles Township, MI to William and Lula Ehinger. On July 11, 1953 Betty married Phillip William Wangler Jr. and they shared 52 years of love and laughter.

Betty is survived by her children, Garry Wangler, Dave (Shelly) Wangler, Steve Wangler, Sharon Adrian, Rick (Lori) Wangler; 16 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Betty has 2 sisters, Lorraine (Wayne) Zimmerman, Mary Ehinger; and 2 brothers, William (Janice) Ehinger and Robert (Betty) Ehinger; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Wangler Jr.; son, Grant Wangler; daughter in law, Emily Wangler; and her parents, William and Lula Ehinger.

Betty lived life to the fullest while enjoying the casino, camping, fishing, farming, bingo, and most of all spending time with her family.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Knights of Columbus Council #2022 for the scholarship fund.
