Brett Lee Ritter

Brett Lee Ritter, age 23, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Brett was born to Kevin Lee Ritter and Buffy Jo Chapel in West Branch, MI on March 2, 1991. He graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 2009 and Kirtland Community College in 2014 as a Certified Master Mechanic. Brett was employed at Snider’s Car Care in West Branch. He enjoyed football, bowling, wrestling, motorcycles, trail riding, fishing, boating, and spending time with his friends. Brett loved spending time with children, and was always willing to help everyone out.

Brett is survived by his mother, Buffy Ritter of Clio, MI; father: Kevin (Tarra) Ritter of West Branch, MI; siblings: Justin Ritter of West Branch, Brittany Owens of West Branch, and Freddie (Rachel) Owens of St. Mary’s, GA; grandparents: Patricia Ritter of West Branch, Joanne Gray of Owosso, MI, Donald (Lavera) Chapel of White Lake, MI, Butch Gray of West Branch, and Don & Cindy Haggadone of West Branch; niece; Laila Renee Kekovich of West Branch; best friend: Landon Matzke of West Branch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Victor Ritter, aunt, Cindy Wiles, and uncle, Donald Chapel Jr.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will begin on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch. Pastor Gary Haines will officiate.
