Bruce Allen Potes

Bruce Allen Potes, age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI. Bruce has lived in St. Helen since 2005, formerly of the Flint/Flushing area. He was born to Tobert and Lucille (Lemon) Potes in Kalkaska, MI on July 31, 1940. Bruce married Barbara Austin on February 27, 1965 and they just celebrated 49 years of marriage. Bruce was a member of the American Legion Post #416 and a US Veteran. He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Barb of St. Helen, MI; daughters: Martie (Rick) Eskew of West Plains, MO, LeeAnn (John) Kish of Flint, MI, and Tina Yanta of Flushing, MI; grandchildren: Jennifer (Garrett) Tidwell, Alyssa Eskew, David Yanta II, Micheal Yanta, John Kish and Halie Kish; great grandchildren Braxton, Aiden, and Sadie; brother: Thomas (Judy) Potes of Traverse City, MI; ex son-in-law: David Yanta of Flushing, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen, MI will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to PAWS Animal Rescue.
