Cecilia Zajechowski

Cecilia Zajechowski age 99 of Alger, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Magnum Care of Saginaw. Cecilia had lived in Alger since 1978. She was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church of Prescott and she enjoyed cooking, singing, polkas, dancing, reading and spending time with her family. Cecilia is survived by her children, Eugene (Dorothy) Zajechowski of Livonia, Jerome (Margaret) Zajechowski of Alger, Janice (James) Jankowiak of Sterling Heights and Gerard (Janette) Zajechowski of Alger, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and her sister, Mary Letkowski of Hamtramck. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Zajechowski in 2003. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. On Monday, Cecilia will lie in state at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Prescott beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Larry Boks will officiate with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Humane Society or to the Alzheimers Association.
