Charles J. “Chuck” Reynolds, age 88 of Rose City, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his home. Mr. Reynolds had lived in Rose City since 2002, formerly of Dryden. He worked for many years at the Birmingham Fire Department, then he and his brother operated Neighborhood Hardware in Birmingham. Chuck opened two Reynolds Hardware stores in Rochester and then another branch in Dryden. He also worked for the Lapeer County Road Commission and served as supervisor for Dryden Township. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, softball, hockey and being outdoors. Chuck is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Rose City, children; Mary Ann (Thom) Knabl and Dr. Steven (Karen) Reynolds both of Rochester Hills, 4 grandchildren Matt Knabl of Rochester Hills, Ashley (Ed) Potter of Raleigh, NC, Amy Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds both of Rochester Hills and great-grandchildren, Kristen Knabl, Hunter Knabl and Carson Charles Potter. Also surviving is his brother Roger (Doris) Reynolds of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Josephine Reynolds and his brother Bruce. Services have been held. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
