Christopher Delos Thurlow

Christopher Delos Thurlow, age 52, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home in West Branch, MI. He was born on May 16, 1969 in West Branch to James and Linda (Snyder) Thurlow, where he lived his entire life.

Chris attended Ogemaw Heights High School, Class of 1987, and attended grade school at St. Joseph Catholic School. He was a member of the Secord Baptist Church in Gladwin, MI where he was involved in youth ministry and preached at the Ogemaw County Jail. He participated in Toughman boxing contests, ending his career with a win in Cheboygan in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood burning and farming. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Chris is survived by his wife, Debra Thurlow of West Branch; children, Amanda (Jordan Kellogg) Thurlow of Charlotte, NC, Theadore Thurlow of West Branch, George (Kacie) Thurlow of Jacksonville, NC and Sarah Thurlow of West Branch; mothers of his children, Nichole Glover of West Branch and Abby Wiltse of West Branch; mother, Linda Thurlow of Gladwin; stepmother, Leah Pauley of West Branch; siblings, Richard (Donna) Pauley, Suzanne (Therese Strohmer) Pauley, Jami (Mark) Feldman, Julie (Bill) Drumm, Guy (Maureen) Thurlow, and Michael Thurlow; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special hunting buddies, Alex and Bobby Pauley.

He is preceded in death by his fathers, James Thurlow and Richard Pauley.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow at Campbell Corners Cemetery.
