David D. VanWormer age 61, of Prescott passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his home. David lived in the Prescott area for 35 years, formerly of West Branch. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1966. He married Sandra K. Wisebaker on September 21, 1969 in West Branch. David owned and operated Advantage Upholstery for many years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3775 of West Branch. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, camping and loved his pets. David is survived by wife, Sandra K. of Prescott, daughter, April (Kenneth) Westfall of West Branch, daughter, Renee (Glenn Pohl) VanWormer of Portage, MI, son, Dean (Pamela) VanWormer of West Branch, mother, Willene VanWormer of West Branch, grandchildren Kevin Westfall, Stephanie Westfall, Dalton VanWormer, brother, Ron VanWormer of Houghton Lake, sister, Frances Erwin of Saginaw, brother, Tom VanWormer of West Branch, sister, Sally VanWormer of Saginaw, sister, Carol Parker of Traverse City, brother, Mont VanWormer of West Branch, brother, Roger VanWormer of West Branch, sister, Laura Hall of Westland, MI, sister, Darla McKelvey of West Branch, sister, Kay Davis of West Branch, sister, Dorothy Davis of West Branch, sister, Mary Gehl of West Branch, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, April 5, 2010 from 2-9 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the funeral home. Rev. Cindy Gibbs will officiate. Burial will follow at Selkirk Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Seton Cancer Center.
