Devere W. Scott

Devere W. Scott, age 71 of West Branch, passed away Monday, May 29, 2006 at his home. He had lived in West Branch for most of his life. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 30 years and he enjoyed fishing, woodwork and crafts, building, wildlife and feeding the deer. Mr. Scott is survived by his children, DeLynn (Glenn) Harm of Macomb Township, Tracy (Danny) McCormack of Fair Haven and Connie (Rick) Griffith of Temple City, CA., grandchildren, Greg, Joe, Matt, John, Angie and Stacey and great-grandchildren, Justin, Aaliyah, Joseph and David. Also surviving are his brothers, Jack Scott of Alger, Pat Graybill of Pontiac and Rex Graybill of Ludington and his sisters, Lilia Hewitt of Bay City, Lorraine Munger of Grand Blanc, Janet Armstrong of Waterford, Diane Sands of Oxford and Linda Gutierrez of Pontiac. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott and his sister, Debbie Graybill. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the funeral home. Fr. Robert Bissot will officate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
