Donald F. Beamish

Donald F. Beamish, age 85 passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his home. Donald was born in Detroit, the son of Frederick and Emma Beamish. He had lived in West Branch since 1995, formerly of Skidway Lake. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Donald was a big sports fan, especially supporting local sports. Donald is survived by his children, Michael (Karen) Beamish of Middleburg, FL., Richard Beamish (Nancy Streck) of Plymouth Township, Terrie Glowacki of Waterford, Cheryl (David) LeMond of Byron and his step-children James Zeiter of Oscoda, Linda (James) Sollose of Sterling Heights and Rusty (June) Zeiter of Royal Oak, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Rose Beamish, a son John Beamish, his brother Larry Beamish and his parents Frederick and Emma Beamish. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Glen Painter will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch.
