Donald George Darling

Donald George Darling, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He had lived in Rose City, MI since 1988, formerly of Saginaw, MI. Don was born to John and Ellen (Carleson) Darling in Gaylord, MI on November 17, 1932. On September 28, 1957 Don married Ethel Wagner in Richville, MI. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Mid Miche Off Roaders Dune Buggy Club/D&R Buggies. Don enjoyed deer and duck hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and dune buggies.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ethel Darling of Rose City; sons, Donald R. Darling and Ronald L. (Shawn M.) Darling all of Rose City; grandchild, Alicia May Serreno; and great grandchild, Haley Hotham. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellen.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Howard Travis will officiate.
