Donald J. Kernstock

Donald J. Kernstock, age 50, passed away Sunday morning at the Standish St. Mary's Hospital. Don has been a resident of Alger for 32 years previously of Bay City. He was very active in his community. Don has been a firefighter with the Mottatt Twp. Fire Department for over 30 years. He belonged to the Faith Lutheran Church in Prescott, Mi. He worked as a Tool Die Machine Operator for Ogemaw Forge for over 28 years.
Mr. Kernstock is survived by his wife of 26 years Beatrice Kernstock, Daughter- Stefanie Kenstock of Alger, Son- John ( Elizabeth Wiedyk) Kernstock of Sterling, Daughter- Tania (Tim) Turland. Proud PaPa of 1 grandson -Xaver. Brother- Bill Kernstock of Standish, Sister- Barb (Lester) Eichman of Alger, Brother- Gary (Janet) Kernstock of Alger. 2 Brother-In-Laws- Earl (Barb) Bell of Morrice and Bill (Pam Spraque) Bell of Standish. There were also many Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be at the Steuernol McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 11-9PM. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church in Prescott, MI. Pastor Virgil Bening will officiate with burial at Alger Cemetery to follow.
