Donald Vincent Jacobs

Donald Vincent Jacobs, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at The Villa at Rose City. He had lived in Lupton, MI for the past 20 years, formerly of Flint, MI. Donald was born on December 9, 1922 to Fredrick and Mary (Bierschbach) Jacobs in Flint. He was a United States Veteran serving in the Navy during World War II. Donald was a member at Holy Family Catholic Church and retired from General Motors in 1980. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was a handy man and built their retirement home in Lupton. Donald and his wife, Mary, spent the winter months in Gulf Shores, AL.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jacobs of Lupton; children, Patricia (Nick) Iozzo of Batavia, IL, Fredrick (Denise) Jacobs of Holland, Steven (Tami) Jacobs of The Woodlands, TX, Nancy Jacobs of Flint, and James Jacobs of Lupton; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Christopher, David, and Michael; and great grandchild, Kenneth. He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Veteran honors. Deacon Glen Painter will officiate.
