Donna Lee Hoffman

Donna Lee Hoffman, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at The Brook of Gladwin. She had lived in West Branch, MI for several years, previously of Troy and Harbor Beach, MI. Donna was born on May 30, 1942 to Colton and Leota (Currie) Black in Detroit, MI. She retired from Dow Chemical in Harbor Beach. She was the treasurer for the United Way and the Ladies Association at the Presbyterian Church both in Harbor Beach for many years. Donna enjoyed listening to music, organizing, working on the computer and being the secretary and treasurer of her condo association for a number of years.

Donna is survived by her sisters, Lois “Shan” (Jerry) Trapp of Higgins Lake, MI and Cindy (Frank) Sprout of Lake City, MN; brothers, James (Suzanne) Black of Waterford, MI and Robert (Mary Ann) Black of Indian River, MI; nieces and nephews, Derek (Debra) Black, Michael Trapp, and Ashley Bruder and her son, Melvano, and the Sprout children. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tom Teall will officiate. Burial will follow at Richland Township Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Claws and Paws and the Ogemaw County Humane Society of West Branch.

Donna was very appreciative of her neighbors, Jim Mayhew, Pat Mann and Marie Lewis for all they have done over the past years. Donna’s family would also like to thank the many family members and friends for all they have done over the past years.
