Dora Jean Bowsher

Dora Jean Bowsher, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at The Villa at West Branch. She was born on April 19, 1938 in Hamilton Township, Clare County to Andrew and Loretta (Bitler) Keysor. Dora married Earl Bowsher on November 9, 1957 in Gladwin, MI. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Michigan Milk Producers Association. Earl and Dora owned and operated Bowsher Dairy Farm. She worked at Tolfree Memorial Hospital in West Branch in the kitchen. She volunteered for Hospice of Helping Hands and worked at The Villa at West Branch as a senior companion.

Dora is survived by her sisters, Marge Bailey of Harrison, Mina (Bud) Garret of Weidman, MI, Joyce Hart of Millington, MI, Barbara Durham of Flint, MI, and Dorothy (Warren) Westrom of Plainview, NE; brothers, Cork (Pat) Keysor of Midland, MI, John (Carol) Keysor of Dewitt, MI and Andy Keysor of Millington, MI; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike and Karen Laier and families. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl in January 2018 and brother, Elmer Keysor.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at the Edwards Community Church, 4520 Greenwood Road, West Branch, MI 48661 on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Edwards Township Cemetery. Pastor Jon Scott will officiate.
