Doreen Margie Johnson

Doreen Margie Johnson, age 84, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Doreen has lived in Lupton since 2008, formerly of Shelbyville, MI. She was born to Clifford and Ruth (Doxey) Pike on June 6, 1929 in Shelbyville, MI. Doreen married Charles “OJ” Johnson on October 21, 1953 and they just celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2013. Doreen is survived by her loving husband, O.J. of Lupton, MI; daughters: Cindy Pratt of Lupton, MI, Shari (John) Coyle of Rose City, MI; grandson: Brian Pratt of Canton, MI; and sister: Dixie Smith of Nebraska. She loved having breakfast at the Sunrise Café with good friends, Jack and Rhea McGregor, Carl and Kenalle McGregor, and “The Linger Longers.” She is preceded in death by her parents and son- in- law, Larry Pratt in 2011. Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, and a Private Burial has taken place. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County E.M.T.
