Dorothy J. Meiser

Dorothy J. Meiser, age 76, passed away Thursday January 26, 2006 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. She had lived in West Branch for all of her life. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Club, a member of the Zion Church of the Brethren and the Ladies Aid, was active at the W.B. Senior Center, was a former Girl Scout leader and she enjoyed knitting, quilting and bowling. Dorothy is survived by her husband Calvin Meiser of West Branch, her son, William (Amy) Meiser of West Bloomfield, stepchildren, Joy (Ken) Meiser-Mendis of Newaygo, Lynda Rule, Diana Burns and Gary (Linda) Nafziger-Meiser all of Boise, ID, and Gene (Jane) Meiser of Harrisburg, VA, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Don (Margaret) Winslow of West Branch, Larry (Vicki) Winslow of Au Gres, Duane (Dee) Winslow of Sanford and Roger (Janey) Winslow of Midland, and her sisters, Phyllis Seloom of Redford, Margie (Curtis) Mueller of Palmer, AK and Janet (Seth) Sayranian of Royal Oak. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bennie Griffin, a daughter, Beverly Brown and her brother, Keith Winslow. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, January 27, 2006 from 3-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday January 28, 2006 at the funeral home. Rev. Donald Wolfgang will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery, West Branch.
