Earl Albert Hinckfoot

Earl Albert Hinckfoot, age 82 of West Branch, formerly of Richmond, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1922 in Lenox Township. Mr. Hinckfoot retired from the Macomb County Road Commission in 1978 after 31 years of service. He was promoted to Chief Weighmaster and Permit Supervisor in 1961. He was one of the founders of the MISS DIG program and was recognized for promoting better relations between utility companies and contractors while furthering the cause of safety and utility damage and prevention. He was a former active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond before moving to West Branch. He is survived by his wife Jean, sister, Dorothy (Don) Kohlhagen of Richmond and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lena (nee Fistler) Hinckfoot, his sisters, Eleanor Lynch and Betty Jean Hinckfoot and his brother Norwood. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday March 31, 2005 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rose City. The Rev. Daniel Stoneback will officate. A Commital Service and burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Richmond Cemetery in Richmond. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held from 5-9 P.M. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 and on Thursday at the church from 10:00A.M. until the time of the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or Hospice of Helping Hands.
