Earl “Chris” Gille, age 68, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. He lived in St. Helen, MI for the past two years, formerly of Houghton Lake.

Chris was born on April 10, 1953 in San Rafael, CA to Earl and Ruth (Bundy) Gille.

On May 31, 1974 he married Beverly DeMara in Plymouth, MI.

After completing high school, he started working at a wax museum in Hollywood, CA. He then moved to Michigan, where he met Beverly and after they were married, they moved back to California. Chris went on to work in San Francisco at the shipyards on many prestigious ships. In the late 1980’s Chris moved his family home to Michigan to be closer to more family members. He started working at a security company in Petoskey and then later started his own security business known as Northern One Security. Chris was a hard worker and loved his wife, family, and taking care of his home and property. He was known as a gentle, kind spirit and will be missed by many family and friends.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Beverly Gille of St. Helen; sons, Christopher “Shane” Gille of Pellston, Eric Gille of St. Helen, and Bradford Gille of Roger City; grandchildren, Damian Griffith, Lauren Keller, and Tess Romanik; nieces and nephews, Glen Ella, Wendy, Maria, Karen, Scott, Stacy, and Megan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Shannon Christine, Marilyn Dawn, and Cheryl Lynn; sister, Judith; and brother, Steven.

Cremation has taken place.
