Edith C. Denton

Edith C. Denton, age 82, passed away March 12, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Denton resided in West Branch since 1992 formerly of Troy. She was a member of the Church of God, enjoyed cooking and dancing, was a seamstress and a devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving family members include her husband Wallace, daughter Derita (Robert) Downey of Miami, Florida; son Michael Denton of Mt. Clemens; step-sons Wallace Taurianen of West Branch, Michael (Dawn) Taurianen of Troy; step-daughter Laura (Kevin) McCall of Troy; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Mrs. Denton is her brother Douglas (Louise) McCurry of California and sister Hazel (Roy) Losh of Missouri. Preceding Mrs. Denton in death was her first husband William E. Denton. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday March 13, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. and on Monday March 14, 2005 from 12-9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday March 15, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home in West Branch with Pastor Ronnie Stewart officiating. Interment will take place on Wednesday March 16, 2005 at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens in Livonia, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands.
