Edward Gerald Dehaan

Edward Gerald DeHaan, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at The Brook in West Branch surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI to Albert and Edna (Rohring) DeHaan. Ed lived in Ogemaw County since 1974, formerly of Reese, MI.

On November 4, 1961 he married Kathleen Fluette in Saginaw, MI. He served in the United States Army from 1956-1959. Ed was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved playing pool on several different pool leagues. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed square and ballroom dancing.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen DeHaan; children, Lynette (Dan) Livingston, Laura (Frank) Zumer, Edward J. DeHaan and Steven (Patricia) DeHaan; grandchildren, Kyle, Alissa, Steven, Amanda, Chad, Justin, and Blake; and great grandchildren, Kellan and Brody.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Lane Heights Cemetery in Lupton, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Compassus Hospice.
