Eleanor A. Mitchell

Eleanor A. Mitchell, age 79, passed away at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She married her husband of 57 years, Edwin Mitchell on June 12, 1948. She had lived in Gladwin since 1988, formerly of Dearborn. She was a member of Willing Workers of Gladwin and she enjoyed quilting, canning, cooking, gardening, being outdoors, and her grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Edwin of Gladwin, daughter, Amelia (William) Schultz of Saginaw, daughter, Marilyn (William) Fries of Honor, MI, son, Philip Mitchell of Taylor, sons, David and Thomas Mitchell of Livonia and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving is brother, Othniel Bednarz of Inkster, brother, Charles (Roberta) Bednarz of Bothell, WA, brother, Lawrence (Betty) Bednarz of Brighton, brother-in-law, Eugene Mitchell of South Lyon, sister-in-law, Marilyn LaRoe of Saline, sister-in-law, Nancy (John) Martin of Gladwin. She was preceded in death by brother, Walter Bednarz. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held Tuesday August 16, 2005 from 2-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday August 17, 2005 at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial will follow at Edwards Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or American Kidney Foundation.
