Elizabeth Jo (Mckimmy) Herbert

My beloved wife, the mother of our sons, a faithful sister and loving niece, cousin and friend, Elizabeth Jo Herbert, stepped in to our Lord’s arms on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the age of 56. She was born in Saginaw, MI on April 27, 1962, the daughter of Doyle and Marilynn (Higgins) McKimmy both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Bridgeport, MI and enjoying retirement on Fawn Lake in West Branch. Liz had been praying for 4 ½ years for a complete healing after a cancer diagnosis. Her prayers have now been answered.

Liz loved the sunshine and water especially when visiting or living in Florida. She also enjoyed watching and learning to identify all species of birds. But it was her faith and love of reading that excited a passion within her to seek more of God, studying His word so that He could be reflected in her life and walk and always receive all glory.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 32 years, Mike Herbert, their three sons; Colin, Jacob and Ben, as well as two sisters and their spouses, Becca and Greg Gifford and Rachel and Brady Fawcett. She will be greatly missed by all including countless relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Calvary Community Church, 2895 E. Moore Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601 on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

An additional Celebration of Life will be held with her home church congregation following their Sunday service at 1pm on March 17th at the Willow Tree Restaurant, 633 Court Street, West Branch, MI, 48661
