Elon William Parliament

Elon William Parliament, age 23, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Munson Healthcare in Grayling, MI, from injuries resulting from an automobile accident. He was born on February 2, 1998, in Gainesville, TX to Dwight and Julie (Zettel) Parliament. Elon lived in West Branch since 2005, formerly from Texas and North Carolina.

He graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 2016 and worked at Rosebrugh Farms. He attended Michigan Career Tech Institute in Plainwell, MI and Truck Driving School. He served in the United States Army from 2019-2020.

Elon enjoyed camping, mud bogs, working on his trucks, horseback riding, snowmobiling in the winter and looked forward to maple syrup time in the spring. Growing up he especially loved his trains and had a collection.

Elon is survived by his parents, Dwight and Julie Parliament of West Branch; sister, Danielle (William Brado) Zettel; grandparents, William Zettel and Joan (David) Lee; uncles, Ed (Vera) Zettel and Doug (Connie) Parliament; aunts, Kathy Sincerbeau, Carol (Joe) Speranza, Connie Parliament, and Rena Vandament; special cousin, “Uncle” Emil Jankee; great aunts, Janet (Barry) Wilkinson, Joyce Nelander, Jean Myas, Rosalie Baynham, Coleen Fox Spencer and Pam (Russ) Hilts; and many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Devere and Mitzi Parliament along with other extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch.
